University of Minnesota Claims No Patients Were “Rubber-Stamped” into Drug Studies

In response to Dr. Carl Elliot’s claims, previously reported on this blog, the University of Minnesota initiated an investigation into the possible “rubber-stamping” of patients into drug studies.  According to the University, “each patient’s folder contained an evaluation form with unique responses and markings,” and that “there is no evidence that any of them contained predetermined, photocopied answers.”  Despite the University’s response, Dr. Elliot continues to be skeptical.
